- Child Safety E-learning Course
Please book a "session" as your starting date for the programme. Course Aim: To enable learners to develop the safeguarding and child protection knowledge and skills needed to identify and respond to child well-being concerns and/or allegations against staff. Learning Objectives By the end of this course, learners will be able to: Define safeguarding and child protection Recognise those children who may be more vulnerable to risks of harm. Name the impact adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) can have on a child’s immediate and long-term development, hauora/health and well-being. Identify the different types of harm, categories and possible indicators of abuse. Recognise the different types of disclosures and demonstrate how to respond safely. State how concerns may relate to a child's well-being and/or allegations against staff. Apply best practices when reporting, referring and recording a concern. Role model being in a Position of Trust with adherence to professional boundaries. Reflect safeguarding as a shared responsibility. Participants will have until the 17 December, 2025 to complete the course.
